The news in 2025 will not please die-hard petrolheads, because the majority of news in the automotive industry is going the way of electrification and new technologies. We will see how individual brand fans, or just buyers, will react to this. In any case, we are convinced that this year will be a turning point, because already last year some brands had problems with selling their models.
And what can we look forward to? Let's take a look at it together.
ALFA ROMEO
The current Stelvio model will be replaced by an electric version. Alfa is keeping the appearance of the car under wraps for now, but the design of the car should be similar to the Junior and Tonale models. The most powerful version of the electric Stelvio should have an output of up to 320 kW.
AUDI
Audi will introduce the newly upgraded A7 and Q3 models this year. The A4 model replaced the very successful A5 model in 2024. The same will be true for the A6 model, which will replace the A7. The final appearance has not yet been revealed, but we can expect the new design direction to be similar to that of the A5. The third-generation Q3 will be a smaller model similar to the Q6 e-tron. We have already seen the Q3 on the roads in classic camouflage, so its arrival can be expected soon.
BMW
BMW will once again launch the highly controversial iX3 model and we can expect another facelift of the 3 model. The electric M3 will also join the lineup, which fans of classic BMW models are already worried about. The BMW iX3 is a mid-size SUV with a very futuristic look and features. Like the 3 Series, it will be based on a new platform with cylindrical li-ion batteries with a capacity of 800 V.
CADILLAC
The famous Cadillac is also making its presence felt overseas. The new Escalade iQ is coming. The huge SUV promises a long range and a luxurious luxury experience. Even though the car is very heavy, it offers agility thanks to the rear axle steering, acceleration from 0-100 km/h in less than five seconds and a range of 780 km. The interior will impress with a large display on the front dashboard and comfort for up to 7 people. We will be happy to wait and see what it does to fans of this brand, accustomed to the roaring sound of an eight-cylinder mastodon under the hood.
CUPRA
Even the sporty Cupra is preparing a wave of new electric cars. So far, it has introduced a small, agile crossover called the Rival. Of course, this is an electric model that will offer up to 225 horsepower and a range of up to 440 km. The car is designed for young drivers and will attract attention with interesting design elements based on the "racer" UrbanRebel. This model is supposedly going to be affordable and is going to compete with its "sister" models from VW and Skoda.
DACIA
Dacia has prepared a surprise for its fans this year, in the form of starting the famous Paris-Dakar in Saudi Arabia with the low-carbon model (running on biomass fuel) SANDRIDER with a pair of dream drivers - Sébastien Loeb, and Nasser Al Attiyah, who were joined by the experienced Cristina Gutierrez Herrero. As Denis LE VOT, CEO of the DACIA brand, said , " Dacia and Dakar are a perfect match! Not only is it a test of the true robustness of the Dacia brand, but it is also a demonstration of our commitment to low-carbon mobility. We are very excited to participate in the Dakar with more sustainable fuel technology. Dacia, together with a top team and drivers, is a strong competitor in this rally". At the time of writing, only Nasser Al Attiyah was already fighting for the team's honor, but it took Audi some time to win with its "electric hybrid".
Following the example of the more robust SANDRIDER, DACIA has prepared a completely new model for 2025, the BIGSTER . It resembles the Duster in appearance, but is much larger and more thoughtful. In addition, it has come with a hybrid drive and allegedly a "people's price". The name itself tells us that the new SUV looks really robust. Only a five-seater version will be available and Dacia states that the vehicle will provide you with comfort, style and safety during everyday travel.
HONDA
Honda will introduce a modernisation of the legendary Prelude. This is a celebration of twenty-five years of successful hybrid drives in this legendary model. However, Honda will include the Prelude in its range of fully electrified models. Pre-sales of the model should start this year and we certainly consider the car's design to be one of the best.
JAGUAR
Jaguar has introduced a new direction for the brand. This was done by introducing a new coupe in a very controversial video that many fans of the brand, as well as ordinary motorists, did not understand, and the video received a lot of criticism. Jaguar has also changed its classic and traditional logo. It introduced this change with the new Type 00 coupe concept. This is a very futuristic study and we can only wait to see what 2025 will bring for the car company and what models Jaguar will come up with.
MERCEDES
Mercedes is primarily preparing an update to the EQC model, which has been on the market for six years. It is also preparing a new CLA, which has already been shown off during dynamic driving in the snow, but has still remained camouflaged. Again, we can expect a similar design to other models. For Mercedes, the inspiration could be the new E-Class or the sporty CLE.
RENAULT
The French manufacturer surprised everyone last year with the rebirth of the legendary 5 model and the Twingo city car. It must be added that the 5 model was a pleasant surprise! However, these are electric cars, albeit with a distinctive and very successful design, which can be purchased at attractive prices. Now it presents another retro model with the name Renault 4. This is again a fully electric city car referring to its predecessor. Its appearance is more reminiscent of an urban SUV and will be available in many color combinations, or even with a canvas roof.
ŠKODA
Our Škoda is preparing a small urban fully electric crossover called Epiq. It is the same platform as the above-described Cupra Rival and VW ID.2. Škoda promises a luggage space of up to 490 liters and a range of 400 km. The small and stylish electric car also promises a low price and lots of interesting color combinations. Also on the agenda is the unveiling of the large facelift of the Škoda Enyaq, which took place on January 8th.
VOLKSWAGEN
Volkswagen is coming up with the all-electric ID.2 model, which is to replace the Polo and T-Cross models. As with the competing Skoda and Cupra, VW promises a low price and stylish appearance. The first sketches have already been declassified and the car looks very interesting. Volkswagen also confirmed another addition to the ID SUV family. It should be the largest electric SUV in VW's offer. However, no concepts are known yet on which the model should be based.
